Sussy is intelligent, sassy, and often exhibits snarky, sarcastic behavior, especially towards Jinu and Derpy. Despite its mischievous nature and tendency to steal (like Derpy's hat), Sussy is deeply loyal and caring towards its companions.

Sussy's character draws inspiration from traditional Korean folk art, specifically the "kkachi horangi" (magpie and tiger) motif found in "hojakdo" paintings. In these artworks, the magpie symbolizes good fortune and serves as a messenger, while the tiger often represents authority or power. The pairing was sometimes used to satirize the ruling class, with the magpie embodying the common people.

Sussy, alongside Derpy, acts as a messenger between Rumi, the leader of Huntr/x, and Jinu. Its interactions add depth to the storyline and provide comic relief, while also serving as a valuable scout for Jinu due to its six eyes and cunning nature.
